The "Fresh Youth Memorial Friendship Card" has a design that is simple yet beautiful, perfectly capturing youth and friendship.  It communicates freshness and beauty, as well as memories of a unique time in your life associated with youth and friendship.  freshness, beauty, and youth is an ephemeral state that may not last forever this card captures all by saying hello and goodbye at the same time.

Color Scheme

Soft & pastel colors: specifically light blue and green, soft in tone.  For background and images.  Pale blue and green colors evoke or convey calming feelings that are fresh.  Pastel tones and light hues remind one of spring and new beginnings, which fits the message of youth with a focus on friendship and memories.

White background: The white background enhances pureness and freshness while allowing the softness of the pastel colors to pop again while maintaining the clean airy dimensions and limited imagery.

Black text: The text has been depicted as bold eyewitness text;  "YOUTH HAS YOU" is bold black against a light color background, making it the focus of the text.

Graphic Elements

Floral and botanical elements: The card is a beautiful mix of illustrations of green leaves and stems, framing the main graphic and providing some natural, organic elements to the graphic and celebrating points of youth, growth and vibrance.

Central Portrait: The main portrait is a round, circular shape with a young lady with shoulder length blonde hair with a floral wreath.   The lady's expression is calm, and the illustration of delicate flowers convey purity and beauty - also relating to points of youth.

Butterfly: There is a blue illustrated butterfly near the portrait, it is also a symbol of change and transformation and the thought of youth being fleeting, and it adds motion to the graphic as the butterfly delicate detailed calculation looks in movement.

Geometric elements: There are certain uses of linear geometric shapes and shape within the design.   It has a modern element to the design and adds structure to the organic elements of the design while still facilitating a modern influences versus the natural elements.

Text placement: The placement of the text is an important consideration to guide the viewer.   The statement "YOUTH HAS YOU" is the bold statement and the centermost fact in the layout, however, the smaller text on either side, of each side provide context without drawing away from the bold statement in the centre.
